Homework HUC - Monday, 23 march 2020

1. Search for the symbols of the totalitarian States we studied (Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Francoist Spain, militarist Japan, Soviet Union). Then go to the teacher’s Google Drive Folder and download the file “Totalitarian symbols.doc”. Fill the file with the infos you found and send it to the teacher via email.

2. Watch the Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGlU5m2JpXY and answer the questions:

• Was the swastika invented by the Nazis? If not, what are its origins?
• Does the author think the swastika needs to be banned in all cases? Why?

3. Send the homework via email to the teacher to the address cosimo.plasmati@gmail.com, in two .doc files:

·         the first, with the symbols, named “Totalitarian symbols – student’s name.doc” (example: Totalitarian symbols – Jorge Rodríguez.doc)

·         the second, with the answer of the questions about the Youtube video, named “WCH homework – 23 march 2020 – student’s name.doc”
